Kapuso Day: Contract Signing Campaigns
For an artist's contract renewal, GMA Network marks the occasion with a full "Kapuso Day," a dedicated event built around that one name. I've designed the campaign materials for several of these, including Dingdong Dantes, Heart Evangelista, Jennylyn Mercado, and Gabbi Garcia. Unlike the teaser and reveal posters for new signings, this work centers on artists already established with the network, so the design isn't building anticipation, it's built for celebration.
I tailored the tone of each campaign to the artist. Dingdong Dantes' key art leans into a gilded, art-deco frame with a starlit backdrop, befitting the gravity of a "Kapuso Day Global" milestone. Heart Evangelista and Jennylyn Mercado both got a glamorous, night-sky treatment with sweeping display type, while Gabbi Garcia's used a softer, warmer palette with gold accents. Each stage backdrop mirrors its social key art almost exactly, so the same look carries seamlessly from the online announcement to the live signing event itself.
Each campaign runs across two tiers of materials. The social key art carries the announcement itself, a portrait treatment, the artist's name in a bold display type, and a signature hashtag (#DINGDONGKapusoDayGlobal, #HEARTKapusoDay, #JennylynKapusoDay, #MagandangGABBIKapuso). From there, the art extended into the physical event space where it was used as well as the LED stage backdrop that plays live behind the artist during the signing itself, so the visual identity that started on social carries through to the actual event.
Different Kapuso Day campaigns, each spanning social key art and a full physical stage build, giving these established artists a signing moment that felt as considered and celebratory in person as it did online.
